Kampala International University (KIU) founded in 2001 is a private chartered University in the Republic of Uganda. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Association of Africa Universities as well as the Inter University-Council of East Africa.

The University offers a variety of programmes in Health Sciences, Science and Technology, Engineering, Business and Management, Law, Humanities and Education.

KIU seeks to recruit Masters degree holders to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the Staff Development Scheme in the following fields;

1. Law

2. Biomedical Sciences Areas of Specialisation:
a) Microbiology
b) Physiology
c) Anatomy
d) Biochemistry

3. Engineering Sciences Areas of Specialisation:
a) Civil Engineering
b) Mechanical Engineering
c) Electrical and Electronics Engineering
d) Telecommunications Engineering

4. Renewable Energy

5. Information Systems

Requirements to apply: -

• Must have a good Masters degree from a recognised institution.
• Bachelors (2nd Class Upper) is preferred.
