Just In: KIU to Hold Webinar Series on Teaching and Learning in the Post COVID-19 Pandemic Period

KIU, Western Campus câ¬â Kampala International University is set to hold an online webinar series under the theme, câ¬ÅTeaching and Learning in the Post Pandemic Periodcâ¬, on September 1st and 2nd , 2020 starting at 11:00 AM East African Standard Time.
The series, whose keynote address will be delivered by the Vice-Chancellor for KIU, Dr Mouhammad Mpezamihigo, will feature among others, addresses from various speakers and a presentation from the KIU e-learning team titled, câ¬ÅRemote Proctored Examinations: A Basic Demonstration.câ¬
Moderated by Dr Atiku Abubakar and Dr Annah Amani, the webinar series will also have the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) for KIU Western Campus, Prof Patrick Kyamanywa teaching on câ¬ÅImplementing e-learning in a Post-Pandemic Era: Challenges and Prospects in Developing Countries.c⬠while Dr Alone Kimwise, the Head of the Computing Department at KIU Western Campus will present on, câ¬ÅCreating and Moving Teaching Contents Onlinecâ¬
Dr Susan Akinkurolere, the Ag. Principal, College of Education, Open, Distance and E-Learning at KIU completes the Day 1 lineup with a presentation on, câ¬ÅThe Role of Instructional Design in Blended Learning.câ¬
Other speakers, who will present on day 2 include Dr Margaret Kareyo with a lecture on câ¬ÅDigital Assessments: The New Frontiers in Technology for Assesssing Learnerscâ¬and Dr Derrick Sekajugo with a presentation on, câ¬ÅTowards a Credible Assessment in Higher Educational Institutions.câ¬
The KIU e-learning team will be represented by Adetunji Adeyemi, Dr Yinus Saiju, Paul Osaze, Akiyinka Akindele and Akindapo Alimi.
