KIU Celebrates Dr. Ramadhan Malinga, Winner of the Erasmus+ Mobility Grant 2026

KIU, Main Campus - Kampala International University (KIU) is delighted to announce that Dr. Ramadhan Malinga, Head of the Department of Computer Science, has been selected for the prestigious Erasmus+ Learning Mobility Programme for 2026. This achievement marks another milestone in KIU’s growing international presence and commitment to global academic collaboration.
Dr. Malinga will undertake a staff mobility exchange at Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) in Turkey, one of KIU’s strategic European partners. During his stay, he will participate in collaborative research activities, engage in academic exchange, and explore opportunities for joint publications and long‑term institutional cooperation.
The Erasmus+ Mobility Programme, funded by the European Union, is designed to strengthen higher education through cross‑border learning, staff development, and intercultural exchange. Dr. Malinga’s selection reflects KIU’s dedication to fostering global partnerships and empowering its academic staff to contribute to international scholarship.
According to the Directorate of Research, Innovation, Consultancy, and Extension (DRICE), this 5‑year mobility grant will enhance KIU’s research visibility, expand collaborative networks, and inspire both staff and students to pursue international opportunities.
