KIU, Main Campus — KIU Rangers delivered a solid team performance to beat Miracle Eaglets 53–48 in a closely contested National Basketball League (NBL) matchup on Sunday.

The victory marked the Rangers’ second consecutive win of the season, following their dominant 71–27 triumph over Nkumba Lady Marines the previous weekend. Despite a slow start that saw them trail 13–10 after the first quarter, the Rangers rallied in the second to take a 28–23 lead into halftime.

Head coach Julius Lutwama’s squad tightened up defensively in the third quarter, restricting the Eaglets to just six points while scoring 14 of their own to widen the gap. Miracle Eaglets fought back in the final quarter, outscoring the Rangers 19–11, but the hosts held firm to secure a five-point victory.

Deputy captain Sharon Kirabo led the Rangers with a team-high 13 points and nine rebounds, playing a pivotal role in the win. Fildauce Namulema and Stella Nanyonga added 11 points apiece, while Stella Nanfuka led the team in rebounds with 11 boards. Namulema also dished out a game-high six assists to complement her scoring performance.
