#KIU31STGRAD: Getting a first-class honour has been a dream come true, Mbaine says.

One of the most captivating and fulfilling moments one can have in life, is seeing their dream manifest. Mbaine Colleb, being one of the first-class students awaiting graduation at Kampala International University’s (KIU’s) 31st graduation ceremony, says this achievement is a combination of effort and a dream come true.

“Am proud of being a bachelor's first-class degree graduate which has been my long-term dream” he added.

Mbaine has been pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration- Finance and accounting, a decision he says was inspired by the urge of being acquainted with the financial realm.

“BBA in Finance and Accounting equips us with the knowledge and skills needed to manage financial processes and contribute to the overall success of an organization.” He said

Additionally, Mbaine believes that he has learnt how to deal with people and situations because of the diverse environment he found at the institution that has enabled him develop his communication skills.

However, Mbaine could not hide his heartfelt gratitude to the university for offering him a bursary.

“I would not have managed to do my bachelor's degree if I had not got the half bursary. Before, I thought bursaries were limited to a certain group of people but I found out bursaries applied to almost all groups of people.” he said.

Mbaine implored continuing students to be relentless and resilient because he believes, learning is a life long journey.
