#KIU34thGrad: I Fell in Love with KIU on a Volleyball Court

My love story with Kampala International University (KIU) began long before I became a student. During my O-Level days, I came to campus to play volleyball, and I fell in love with the environment.

When I finished A-Level, there was no doubt in my mind: KIU was my first choice. It also offered the course I had always wanted to study, International Relations and Diplomatic Studies, which made the decision even easier.

Over three years, KIU gave me the skills and knowledge I will use throughout my career, from theory to practical work. We were also encouraged to research topics outside the curriculum that we still needed to understand as future Ugandan diplomats. That habit of curiosity is something I will carry with me.

Now I hope to put into practice what I learnt in class, while also starting a small business of my own.

To the students still here: do not let anyone discourage you from studying. Take your studies seriously, because at the end of the day, it is you and your degree against the odds.
