KIU, Western Campus - In an inspiring effort to empower women in neuroscience, the World Women in Neuroscience (WWN), in collaboration with the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO) and Kampala International University (KIU), is hosting Women NeuroLead Connect 2025—an event dedicated to mentoring future leaders in the field of neuroscience. Under the theme "Unlocking Potential - Building Future Leaders through Mentoring for Women in Neuroscience," the conference aims to foster professional growth, leadership, and knowledge exchange among female neuroscientists worldwide.
Women NeuroLead Connect 2025 offers a distinctive platform for female neuroscientists to receive mentorship, network with peers, and participate in discussions that will shape the future of neuroscience. This event reinforces the commitment to diversity and inclusion in scientific leadership, ensuring women in neuroscience have access to opportunities that propel their careers forward.
The Chief Host is Assoc. Prof. Eric Mabonga, Deputy Vice Chancellor, KIU Western Campus, the special guests of honour are Madam Asiat Mbabazi, the University Secretary, KIU and Dr. Umi Omar, Chief Executive Officer, KIU Teaching Hospital and Research.
